'Meela clinched their 2nd trophy in two seasons with a comprehensive 4-1 victory over Agape at Drome Park. The only touch of class in a scrappy 1st half was provided by 'Meela when Pete fired his side into the lead with a 25 yard drive. Mid way through the 2nd half Pete netted his second goal of the game and from then on there was only going to be one winner. 'Meela were given a scare when Agape pulled a goal back but sub McGrath fired his side back into a 2 goal lead. Robert pulled off a great save to preserve the advantage and in injury time sub Mark Hoey set up Macaulay to clinch the victory and allow captain Lorcan Fairmichael to lift the trophy. 1sts team : R.Thompson, Gallen, C.Fairmichael (S.Morris), L.Fairmichael, Deegan, Macaulay, Boylan, Murphy (McGrath), Carson (M.Hoey), Reilly, C.Murray. This victory was dedicated in memory of Gary Morris.

The 2nds ended their season with a poor 2nd half performance that saw them exit the shield at the quarter final stage. Things were kept tight by both teams in the first half with only half chances being created by either team. Early in the 2nd half Villa took the lead when Neil strayed from his goal and was punished. It was down hill from there. J netted an own goal while trying to clear the ball over his own bar. The 3rd came when Villa's forward flicked the ball past Scott before slotting home from 18 yards and a free header at the back post provided Villa their 4th goal. In the final minutes 'Meela were awarded a penalty which Gordy tucked away to ensure he finished top scorer for the 2nds this season. 2nds team : Mullan, S.Thompson, McDermott, Meegan, GP.Morris, Mitchell, Fairweather, Kapur, A.Hoey, L.Murray, Maguire. subs : Pettis, Conlon, Kelso.
